Butterscotch Brownies

*Recipe may be halved for a 9×13 pan

1 stick margarine
1 stick butter
4 cups dark brown sugar (Momma Barber uses light brown)
4 eggs
3 cups flour
1 t salt
4 t baking powder
2 t vanilla
1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped
powdered sugar for finish

Melt margarine and butter in large sauce pan. Remove from head and add remaining ingredients. Spread in greased 17×11.5″ pan and bake for 30min @ 350°. Cut in squares while warm with very sharp knife. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
