Hungarian Goulash

1/3 cup Neutral Oil

3 Yellow Onions, sliced

2 Tbsp Sweet Hungarian Paprika

3 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Pepper

1/2 Green Pepper, sliced

3 lbs Beef Stew Meat

6 oz Tomato Paste

1 1/2 cups Water

1 clove Garlic

  1. Heat oil in dutch oven over medium heat
  2. Cook onion until soft & remove.
  3. Combine paprika, 2 tsp salt, & pepper
  4. Coat beef & brown beef in batches in dutch oven, adding a bit of oil if needed
  5. Return onion & remaining ingredients to dutch oven
  6. Reduce heat, cover, & cook on low, stirring occasionally, for 1.5-2 hrs
  7. Pour over egg noodles, add sour cream, et al.
  8. Enjoy.
