2 Tbsp Red Chili Flakes
2 Tbsp Szechuan Peppercorns
2 Tbsp Gochugaru Chile Flakes
1 Tbsp Kosher Flake Salt
1 cup Grapeseed Oil
2-inch Ginger, peeled and finely chopped
4 Garlic Cloves, finely chopped
2 Star Anise
1 Cinnamon Stick
- In a heatproof bowl, add the chile flakes, Szechuan peppercorns, gochugaru flakes and sea salt
- Place oil, ginger, garlic, star anise, and cinnamon in a small saucepan over medium heat for 3-4 minutes
- The oil is ready when it looks thin, like water
- Remove from heat and pour the hot oil into the bowl with the spices. It will sizzle and spit. Allow to cool
- Stir before serving
- Enjoy.
